Booktubes

Booktube is a small community in Youtube that has exploded during these past few years. It is a place in which passionate readers, called Booktubers, upload videos in which they film themselves discussing their favorite books, among other bookish activities.

Booktube is a place where people share and talk about what they have been reading recently, as well as connect with other avid readers.

Juniors 6 and 7 this year are making audio booktubes to get other classes excited about the stories they have to read.

Find the links in the comments below to see if they work for you too ;) We've only just started. Feel free to join our project!

Our story memes by J6B - Prof. Marianela B. Estévez

Juniors 6B read Sandra Cisneros's story called "Eleven", about a girl who has an unpleasant experience on her birthday and that makes her ponder on how old you really are inside, no matter your age. You can read it following this link

After discussing the story, students created their own memes to sum up the girl's problem. Enjoy them!

Fairy Tales

FAIRY TALES are a type of short story that typically features fantasy characters, such as dwarves, elves, fairies, giants, gnomes, goblins, mermaids, trolls, or witches, and usually magic or enchantments.

Watch the trailer of the movie Into the Woods and in the comments below...

1- Write all the references to fairy tales you could identify. Do a little webquest to find the names in English. You may start here.

2- What other elements typically found in fairy tales could you spot? Don't forget to mention the woods!

J5me-Ad5. Prof. Grasso. Let your imagination roll! Creation of fragments that can be inserted in the story

Doctor 1: What is your opinion about the wife?
Doctor2: I think she is not crazy, but she is hysterical… and we promised him we’ll help him with this.
Doctor1: Did you ask him if the money had been transferred yet?
Doctor2: Yes I did. The first deposit has been already made. The rest will be
transferred once the job is complete.
Doctor 1: So, do not waste time. Let’s finish with this right now.
