Edward Bloom is an old man that always tells fantastic stories about hisb life, on his son´s, Will, wedding he tells one of his stories, so Will gets angry and they stop talking for years. One day Will got a call of his mum telling him that his fathers was dying. Will never believed his dad´s stories, he thinks that he doesn´t know who his father really is. So he travelled to see him, and in the time they spent together Will remembers his dad´s stories and starts discovering that they weren´t completely false. It´s a good movie directed by Tim Burton, I like it and I think that if you have the opportunity you should watch it.

  3. Big Fish is the enchanting story of a father and his son, but it is really a story about stories themselves.
It is about all kinds of stories, from the first stories whispered by a father to a sleepy child to the stories a son tells his father to comfort him in his death bed.
Facts are fine, but somes truths can only be told through fiction, and this movie tells a captivating tale that is a delight for the eye, the heart and the spirit.
Director Tim Burton, like Edward, believes that it is the fantastic that deserves our attention more thant mundane. The ravishing images are marvelonss, but it is the heart of the stories that captive us, especially when it all comes together ar the end in a moving conclusion filled with conection, understanding ans forgiveness.

  4. Big fish is about a man called Will Bloom. He doesn´t understand his father because he doesn´t believe the stories his father tells. At Will´s wedding, Edward (Will¨s father) tells a story about the day Will was born and from that moment they were distanced for three years. After the distance,Will´s mother tells him that his father is very sickthen Will and his wife, who is pregnant, travel to the house of his parents and parallel to these stories they know the stories about when Edward was younger. The first one tells that as a child Edward knew a witch and through her glass eye he watched how he was going to die. Another story is when he meets a giant and becomes his friend and for Will all the stories that he tells, are invented but I don´t want to tell you the ending, this is homework for you.
In my opinion, it is a very interesting film, the effects are good, the stories are creative and I think that you will like. I highly recommend it to you.

  5. this movie reminded me of "the little prince", because it's a movie that teaches you a lot and has a lot of metaphors from a childish perspective, and in a simple way. you can see a lot of common things that maybe you don't stop to think about and they are really important in life.
it's really psycological movie that talks about memory, relationships, loyalty, childhood, lies, violence, fear, love, dreams and a lor more. so, if you want to learn about a different perspective about life, i highly recommend it.

  6. Big Fish is a movie about the life of Edward Bloom. He always told fantastic stories to his son William, about his life. He told him stories that were hard to believe as he told them, so his son got angry, because he thought that his father had lied to him. william believed that he didn´t know his real father.
the movie shows the way Edward was born, how he grew up in his town and the way he left and went to the city. The strange people he met in his life, like a gigant and siamese. The way he met his future wife and fallen in love with her, the things he did for her.
The movie teaches us how Edward saw life in a different way, maybe not lying but exaggerating everything. It is full of methaphors and life lessons. It makes you reflect a lot, and it has a beautiful messege.
You have to pay attention, because there a lot of little stories inside of the main story, and you can get lost. It is also full of fantastic things, so I won´t recomended for a person who does not like that kind of things.
